Job Description

Job Duties:
Performs highly complex inventory and retail sales work in a unit commissary.
Work involves stocking, arranging, and transferring inventory; displaying and selling merchandise; ensuring compliance with established security requirements, loss prevention controls, and procedures; and providing guidance to others.
Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.
You'd be a GOOD fit if:
You graduated from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED.
You have two years fulltime, wageearning commissary, retail sales, or inventory management experience.
Or
You have one year fulltime, wageearning commissary, retail sales, or inventory management experience and one year fulltime wageearning correctional custody or law enforcement experience.
You have ex perience with an automated point of sale system and retail sales preferred.
You'd be a GREAT fit if:
You have knowledge of inventory methods and procedures.
You have knowledge of inventory and stock control record keeping.
You have knowledge of automated inventory control systems.
You have knowledge of retail sales functions to include merchandise sales and displays.
You have the skills to communicate ideas and instructions clearly and concisely.
You have the skills to coordinate with other staff, departments, officials, agencies, organizations and the public.
You have the skills to interpret and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
You have skills in problemsolving techniques.
You have the skills in the use of computers and related equipment in a standalone or local area network environment.
You have the skills to prepare and maintain complex records and files in an automated system.
You have the skills to review technical data and prepare technical reports.
You have the skills to plan work in order to meet established guidelines.
You have the skills in the electronic transmission of communications.
You have the skill to train and supervise inmates preferred.
