Job description

Company Description Cadence, LLC is a construction firm that brings a disciplined rhythm to the entire building process, with a focus on perfecting the built environment while protecting the natural world. The company is led by executives and craftspeople with an average of over 25 years of experience across diverse construction types throughout the United States. Cadence operates as a design-builder, consistently seeking to create value for customers through thoughtful, efficient project delivery. The team most often provides services as MEP subcontractors and, when MEP systems play a central role, as prime contractors. Candidates can learn more about the company and its projects by visiting www.cadencenow.com.

Role Description The Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Palmview South, TX, responsible for overseeing construction projects from planning through completion. This role coordinates project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring work is performed safely, on time, and within scope. The Project Manager leads cross-functional teams, collaborates closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, and regularly monitors progress, quality, and risk. Daily responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specifications, managing change orders, preparing status reports, and maintaining clear documentation. The role also supports continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements and reinforcing Cadence’s commitment to high-quality, value-driven project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Project planning and scheduling skills, including experience with developing timelines, tracking milestones, and coordinating resources across multiple trades.
  • Budgeting and cost control capabilities, such as managing estimates, monitoring expenses, and handling change orders to keep projects within financial targets.
  • Construction management and technical knowledge in MEP or related building systems, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and building codes.
  • Stakeholder and team management skills, including leading onsite teams, collaborating with clients and subcontractors, and resolving conflicts professionally.
  • Risk, safety, and quality management skills, including identifying project risks, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring work meets quality expectations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in documentation, reporting, and the use of project management and productivity software.
  • Relevant experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role within construction; familiarity with design-build environments and MEP-focused projects is beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Ability to work on-site in Palmview South, TX, including regular presence on active jobsites and adherence to all safety and company policies.
