Your Role at Cabot:

Cabot Corporation is seeking a dedicated HR Manager to join the Corporate HR Americas team as the site HR leader for our Billerica Technology Center.
The HR Manager is a key member of the Site leadership team, accountable for building a high-performance, high-engagement culture across a diverse workforce of ~250 employees. This role is both strategic and hands on, providing day-to-day HR leadership and support across all core people processes - ideal for a seasoned HR professional who excels at influencing senior leaders, shaping culture, and driving organizational impact.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys a blend of R&D, corporate, and manufacturing environments and thrives in shaping culture, developing leaders, and driving meaningful change.

The role reports directly to the Americas Regional HR Director with a matrixed reporting line to the Facility General Manager.
This role is based at the Billerica, MA location, and is eligible to participate in a HybridWorking Arrangement program (4 days on-site: Tuesday-Thursday in office, with Monday or Friday remote).

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Serve on the Site leadership team, managing site HR activities including staffing, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits and training in alignment with company HR policies and programs.
  • Identify, develop and implement effective HR strategies, aligned with corporate goals.
  • Coach leaders to enhance communication, trust and engagement.
  • Lead site-wide engagement and culture initiatives.
  • Support hiring in partnership with Talent Acquisition.
  • Lead performance and development processes to build capability.
  • Deliver training to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership and consultation in employee relations, promoting open communications and a positive work environment.
  • Ensure legal compliance and maintain company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate closely with the HR leadership team to align talent and workforce initiatives.
  • Influence leaders using data and insights to guide decisionmaking.
  • Support accurate local payroll activities in partnership with the Payroll team.
  • Lead change management for site initiatives.
  • Prioritize high-impact HR strategies that deliver measurable outcomes.

What You'll Bring to Cabot:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources or related field.
  • 7+ years of related experience in a dynamic environment, including HR administration, talent management and change management.
  • Experience serving as primary on-site HR support.
  • Experience with R&D and manufacturing site(s) preferred.
  • Strong HR analytics capability, including use of HRIS tools (Workday) to generate insights.
  • Forward-thinking mindset with the ability to drive change and deliver practical execution
  • Strong business acumen and an understanding of how HR initiatives influence operational and financial outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills enabling effective partnership and engagement with stakeholders at all levels, both within and outside of HR.
