About the Role

We are seeking an Electro-Mechanic Technician to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be accountable for maintaining all plant and production electrical and control systems—including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and network sub-systems—while ensuring production schedules are met and equipment reliability is optimized.

Shift & Schedule

  • Shift: 3rd
  • Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Tues - Sat; Sunday and Monday off)
  • Weekend Availability:Required

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $40–$41 ($1.50/hour shift differential)

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

  • Maintain and update documentation for all electrical and control systems, including hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control-related failures to minimize downtime.
  • Train and coordinate activities of Electro-Mechanics across shifts to ensure consistent maintenance practices.
  • Perform preventive, scheduled, and corrective repairs on production equipment and control systems.
  • Maintain secondary plant systems such as steam, water, air, refrigeration, HVAC, and emissions control.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, and regulatory standards during all maintenance activities.
  • Document maintenance work accurately in accordance with work orders and company procedures.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • High school diploma or equivalent; AS/AAS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred.
  • Practical experience in machine and electrical control system installation and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and control system documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work safely during production and downtime periods.
  • Basic math and measurement conversion skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • Experience with Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi software.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance software and control system programming.
  • Familiarity with P&ID, electrical single-line diagrams, and instrument loop drawings.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and configuration skills for AC/DC and servo drives.
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing or industrial environment.
