Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer (Electrical focus) to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. Accuracy, integrity, subject matter expertise, and the ability to work well independently and with others are important traits we expect the successful candidate to possess and demonstrate. This position supports BAE Systems as SSP's system integration contractor. This position ensures compatibility of the weapon system, the ship, and facilities. This is done so by managing interface requirements, which are requirements at the boundaries where subsystems meet. This position is responsible for processing changes against the electrical interface requirements, modeling electrical interface requirements in digital tools, and collaborating with government and contractor stakeholders. The electrical interface requirements include but are not limited to power, telemetry, software, electromagnetic interference, and cable requirements. In response to global threats, SSP is continuing to defend our nation by adding a second nuclear defense system option to their mission responsibilities with the SLCM-N Program. SSP is building this modular, survivable cruise missile system that will be outfitted on some submarines and surface ships. SSP is responsible for designing, developing, building, and deploying the SLCM-N and BAE Systems is supporting our customer in the pre-development activities for the SLCM-N Program. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Education and years of related/relevant work experience required: Bachelor's degree in Systems, Electrical, or Aerospace engineering or similar and four years of related/relevant professional work experience. Additional skills/experience required:
* Demonstrated experience with one or more of the following: DOORS, Engineering Requirements Documents, and/or Excel
* Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, to be able to communicate with management, technical leads, and external stakeholders
* Ability to speak confidently to customer and large groups of stakeholders, both virtually and in-person
* Proactive and problem-solving mindset to resolve higher priority issues
* High attention to detail

Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
