About the role
 
As an Account Director, you'll be a self-sufficient, dynamic account partner for clients, providing regular strategic counsel to help pharmaceutical marketers navigate the rapidly changing healthcare landscape and drive brand growth. You will be required to establish and maintain senior client level contact, leading to positive and effective client/agency relationships.
What You'll Do
  • Relationship master, able to confidently build client relationships and provide best in class client service
  • Demonstrate strong facilitation and meeting management skills, able to run client sessions without additional senior level account support
  • Able to develop a deep understanding of the client's market, trends, influencers, competitors, key players, budget and performance metrics
  • Offer proactive multichannel and digital marketing guidance, grounded in a deep understanding of brand strategic imperatives, clinical data, industry best practices and emerging trends
  • Lead the agency team in developing multichannel marketing strategies and campaigns, including but not limited to the annual brand planning process, that drive engagement and growth for client’s brands
  • Able to facilitate a client through new work scope definition and subsequently document the details in the Statement of Work in partnership with delivery team and subject matter experts
  • Develop and maintain revenue projections, identifying growth opportunities on assigned businesses to create additional value for the client and agency
  • Accountable for the financial health of their accounts, including oversight of revenue projections, project profit margins, and timely invoicing and payments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional agency team members by providing objective direction and feedback that inspires innovative, creative ideas and tactics that have measurable impact
  • A natural problem solver, identifies and diffuse conflict situations, establishing consensus to drive the team toward solutions
  • Effectively manages the dynamics of working with client’s agency, vendor and media channel partners to the benefit of the brand
About You
  • 10+ years of agency account management experience, with at least 5 years of pharmaceutical advertising experience
  • BA/BS degree required
  • Must possess a deep and thorough understanding of the pharma/healthcare advertising industry, including new product launches
  • DAOR experience strongly preferred
  • Experience leading digital marketing initiatives
  • Strong digital omni-channel background
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in managing multiple clients across an organization and agency partners
  • Marketing acumen and demonstrated experience in leading an integrated agency team in brand planning, budget development, execution and measurement
  • Demonstrated success at developing valued relationships with senior-level clients, and building relationships across all client levels
  • Demonstrated success as strategic partner to clients
  • Demonstrated presentation, verbal, written and communication skills
  • Must demonstrate hands-on proficiency in developing and delivering presentations in PowerPoint
