To help us drive awareness and effect change across our firm, we are seeking a Manager, Sustainability Communications, who will help drive the firm’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) internal and external communication strategy. This person will collaborate with global colleagues to develop engaging content that captures progress made toward ESG goals and net-zero targets for the firm’s annual Sustainability Report. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, shares new ideas and is flexible. The Manager, Sustainability Communications, is part of the firm’s Corporate Communications function and reports to Cushman & Wakefield’s Director, Corporate Communications, and will work closely with our Global ESG Team.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute ESG-related communications for internal and external audiences, including firmwide milestones, achievements and success stories across multiple channels to advance Cushman & Wakefield’s sustainability goals.
  • Collaborate with the firm’s ESG team and global stakeholders to develop content for the firm’s annual Sustainability Report with heavy emphasis on project management, compelling storytelling, writing, editing and brand alignment.
  • Support the firm’s Chief Sustainability Officer through internal and external communications across multiple channels (i.e., email, intranet stories, press releases, awards opportunities, social media).
  • Serve as a strategic communications advisor to internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee special projects to ensure employees are receiving the right information at the right time.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to ensure alignment and support of core strategies and values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism or public relations.
  • 5-7 years of experience in internal or corporate communications; specific experience creating content for sustainability-related topics or ESG programs is highly preferred.
  • Proven, comparable experience in the job’s areas of responsibility.
  • Excellent written, interpersonal and storytelling skills.
  • Experience creating content for social media.
  • Strong project management skills with proven ability to balance multiple priorities, stakeholders and timelines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative while working well in a group environment.
  • Ability to use sound judgment and demonstrate executive presence when working with senior leaders.
