Location: 6000 North Terminal Parkway   Atlanta,  Georgia    30320

Duration: 6+ Months

Shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

A Business Systems Analyst (BSA) gathers, analyzes, and documents business needs, acting as a bridge between stakeholders (users, system owner, etc.) and provides requirements that will be translated into functional system designs, ensuring solutions align with business goals through activities like interviews, process modeling, testing, and documentation for new IT systems.   They translate complex business problems into technical requirements, work with IT Engineers, Project Managers, Stakeholders, overseeing training, and ensure that new systems enhance productivity and support department objectives. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Gathering Requirements: Produce needs from stakeholders via interviews, workshops, surveys, and analyzing current systems.
  • Analysis & Documentation: Analyze business processes, document requirements (functional, non-functional), and create models (like use cases).
  • Liaison: Communicate between business users, developers, designers, and project managers, resolving conflicts.
  • Validation & Testing: Participate in reviewing, validating, and testing new systems to ensure they meet requirements.
  • Traceability: Maintain requirement traceability matrices to track needs through the project lifecycle. 

Essential Skills

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Core to assessing needs and finding solutions.
  • Communication: Explaining technical details to business users and business needs to tech teams.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of IT systems, software, and programming principles (Python, Java).
  • Business Acumen: Deep understanding of business operations.
  • Documentation: Clear and concise writing for requirements.
  • Methodologies: Familiarity with software development lifecycles (SDLC). 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
  • Experience in IT, software implementation, or business analysis.
