Job description

Position: Engineering Design Manager

Location: Tulsa, OK ONSITE

Comp:  up to $140,000/yr


SBCS has partnered with a growing engineering firm who is  seeking an experienced  Design Manager to join their team. The Engineering Design Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the design process for our clients' projects. This includes overseeing a team of engineers and designers, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality designs, and collaborating with other departments to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the design process for multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budget

- Oversee a team of engineers and designers, providing guidance and support to ensure the development of high-quality designs

- Collaborate with other departments, such as project management and construction, to ensure seamless integration of design with overall project goals

- Conduct regular design reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements

- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing innovative solutions to meet their objectives

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in design technology, implementing new tools and processes to improve efficiency and quality of designs

- Mentor and develop team members, providing opportunities for growth and professional development

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering design, with at least 2 years in a managerial role

- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients

- In-depth knowledge of design software and tools, with the ability to stay up-to-date with advancements in the field

- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget

- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

- Experience in the consulting industry is preferred, but not required
