RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Security Administrator in Commerce, CA.
Summary:
The Data Security Administrator supports the client's Security Operations by actively maintaining system and process compliance with regulatory standards and implementing information security best practices across the organization.
Essential Job Functions:
Maintains and performs day-to-day administration of critical information security systems as assigned, potentially including:
* Identity and Access Management (e.g., Identity Governance, Authentication and Password Management, Role-based Access and Permissions, Privileged Access Management), Anti-Malware, Anti-Phishing, Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB)/Web Filtering, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Vulnerability Management, and Mobile Device Security, helping client's Services comply with enterprise and IT security policies, Federal/State law, industry regulations, and best practices
* Proactively monitors security systems and logs for suspicious activity, investigates events as needed, and reports status and next steps during daily team huddles
* Assists in risk assessments, policy review/development, and the creation of educational materials as directed by the VP of Information Security
* Assists in incident response efforts by investigating suspicious activity, documenting work performed, and providing timely updates to the VP on progress and results
* Troubleshot security-related issues and ensured accurate, timely, and thorough processing of service requests submitted by users and helpdesk support staff as required
* Remains current on existing and emerging threats, industry security trends, and best practices for the area of responsibility
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (Associate's degree may be acceptable with experience)
* 2-4 years in IT security or systems administration roles
* Strong experience managing user access privileges, implementing role-based access control (RBAC), and maintaining authentication systems, including multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO) solutions
* Proficiency in conducting regular vulnerability scans, prioritizing security patches, and coordinating remediation efforts across systems while minimizing operational disruption
* Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (such as NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or PCI DSS) and ability to develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization
* Ability to configure, maintain, and monitor security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus software, and security information and event management (SIEM) platforms
* Proven capability to identify, investigate, and respond to security incidents and breaches, including performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence
* Understanding of IT infrastructure fundamentals, including networking, server administration, Directory services, application ecosystems, virtualization technologies, and cloud computing environments
* Self-Directed Security Operations - Highly independent and self-motivated professional who proactively identifies security gaps, researches and implements solutions autonomously, and takes ownership of security initiatives from conception through completion with minimal oversight
* Preferred Certifications: CISSP, Security+, Microsoft AZ-500/SC-200, or relevant GIAC certifications (such as GCIH IA)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
