Job description

Duration: 6 Months (Hybrid)
Job Description:
  • As part of the Compute Planning Strategy & Operations (CPSO) team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring efficient allocation and usage of compute resources for research teams.
  • You’ll develop operational processes, implement tools, and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to optimize infrastructure utilization.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain operational processes and tools for compute resource management.
  • Manage and optimize compute resource allocation across research teams.
  • Coordinate timelines, communications, and stakeholder engagement for implementations.
  • Define, track, and report metrics to monitor utilization, efficiency, and planning accuracy.
  • Configure and maintain automation tools to support resource allocation.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Create user guides, process documentation, and internal training materials.
  • Collaborate with engineers, program managers, researchers, and SREs to forecast demand, prioritize allocations, and streamline workflows.
 
Experience (Mandatory):
  • 3+ years of experience in technical program management or operations, with a background in resource planning, infrastructure management, or process optimization.
  • Experience with compute resource tools and capacity planning.
  • Ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience driving process improvements and measuring impact through metrics.
    
Experience (Desired):
  • Familiarity with machine resource provisioning, allocating, and queueing/scheduling systems.
  • Familiarity with accounting-based and/or capacity planning principles.
  • Experience performing data analysis, building metrics systems, and tooling.
 
Education:
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.
