Job description

Primary Skills: GitLab Administration (advanced), Artifactory Management (advanced), Kubernetes Architecture (Intermediate), Linux System tuning (Intermediate), Cloud-native transformation (Proficient)
Contract Type:  W2
Duration:  12 months with possible extension
Location: (#LI-Hybrid) - 2-3 days in the office at San Diego, CA or Kirkland, WA
Pay Range: $80.50 - $85.60 per hour on W2

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for the strategy and execution of critical developer platforms, including enterprise GitLab and JFrog Artifactory. You will lead cloud-native transformations and mentor team members. The position establishes technical direction for platform engineering and drives innovation in development tools.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct operational strategy for GitLab and Artifactory platforms.
  • Spearhead cloud-native migrations and GitOps adoption.
  • Design resilient, multi-region high-availability deployments.
  • Implement self-healing systems and automated remediation.
  • Mentor engineers on automation and cloud-native best practices.
Must-Have Skills:
  • Deep expertise in enterprise-scale platform operations.
  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native tooling.
  • Proven track record in CI/CD platform design and automation.
Industry Experience:
This role requires experience in the software development or SaaS industry, with a focus on platform engineering and developer tooling.
