    About Our Client:

    Addison Group is partnering with our client to hire a Medical Customer Service Contractor. This position supports healthcare operations by assisting members, providers, and internal departments with referral processing, case documentation, and status updates. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

    Job Description:

    The Medical Customer Service Contractor serves as a key point of contact for healthcare providers and members while supporting administrative processes related to referrals, authorizations, and medical services. This role requires strong communication skills, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to manage multiple priorities throughout the day.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Process and document referral and authorization requests within internal systems while ensuring information is routed appropriately.
    • Review and enter medical documentation, physician notes, and supporting records with a high level of accuracy.
    • Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain missing information and provide updates regarding requests and determinations.
    • Assist members by answering questions regarding referral status, authorization outcomes, and available care options.
    • Conduct outreach to providers and members regarding expedited or time-sensitive healthcare requests.
    • Maintain accurate records of communications, documentation, and case activity.
    • Support departmental operations through administrative tasks, record maintenance, and correspondence management.
    • Prepare and distribute required member and provider communications.
    • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and ensure timely processing of documentation.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient resolution of requests and inquiries.
    • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
    • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous experience in customer service, healthcare administration, medical office support, insurance, or call center environments preferred.
    • Strong data entry and computer skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to communicate professionally with members, providers, and internal stakeholders.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software applications.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
    • Experience working with medical terminology, referrals, authorizations, or healthcare documentation is a plus.
