    Job description

    Job Title: Construction Quality Control ManagerJob Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Quality Control Manager to oversee a 5-year IDIQ construction contract valued at $27.5 million. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of construction projects at FLETC in Charleston, SC.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and oversee quality control on construction projects, ensuring compliance with Federal administrative construction processes.
    • Coordinate closely with three government representatives to ensure project specifications are met.
    • Possess a deep understanding and working knowledge in trades and disciplines including architectural work, carpentry, structural, earthwork, and utilities.
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards, including USACE EM 385-1-1 and OSHA 1926, focusing on hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability.
    • Demonstrate experience in managing similar construction contracts, particularly those comparable in cost, type, and complexity.

    Essential Skills

    • Minimum high school education.
    • At least ten years of combined experience in construction management roles, with five years specifically as a Quality Control Manager on U.S. Military or Federal agency contracts.
    • Extensive experience with Federal construction processes.
    • Completion of the 'Construction Quality Management for Contractors' course or willingness to obtain certification within 30 days of award.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    • Familiarity with safety requirements and standards including USACE EM 385-1-1 and OSHA 1926.
    • Experience with hazard identification and safety compliance.

    Work Environment

    This position is based on-site at FLETC in Charleston, SC. The role involves working closely with government representatives on various construction projects, requiring a strong collaborative approach.
