Job description

Job Title: Med/Surg RN

Location : Chillicothe, OH

Contract : 13 Weeks 

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Med/Surg RN to join our dynamic healthcare team at our facility in Chillicothe, OH. As a Med/Surg RN, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with patient treatments. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the overall well-being and recovery of our patients.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assess patient conditions and develop appropriate nursing care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient conditions
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions and provide necessary support
  • Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures
  • Handle emergencies and critical situations with composure and professionalism

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid RN license in the state of Ohio
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Med/Surg setting
  • Strong knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and practices
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and ability to multitask effectively
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical record systems
  • BLS certification
