As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC Service Manager to lead our service department, develop our technicians, and ensure operational excellence.

Position Summary

The HVAC Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the HVAC service department, ensuring technicians are equipped to deliver high-quality service while meeting company performance goals. This role provides leadership, coaching, scheduling support, quality assurance, and customer service oversight while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate is an experienced HVAC professional with proven leadership skills, strong technical knowledge, and a passion for developing people and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the HVAC service department.
  • Manage, coach, mentor, and develop HVAC service and maintenance technicians to achieve high performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct ride-alongs, field evaluations, safety inspections, and quality control reviews.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new service technicians while supporting ongoing technical and professional development.
  • Partner with dispatch to optimize technician scheduling, routing, and daily workflow.
  • Monitor department KPIs including revenue, productivity, callbacks, maintenance agreement performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist technicians with troubleshooting complex service calls and technical challenges.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and ensure timely, satisfactory resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, OSHA safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and local HVAC codes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, service records, technician performance metrics, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with sales, installation, and administrative teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Foster a positive team culture focused on accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications

✔ 3+ years of residential or light commercial HVAC service experience
✔ EPA Universal Certification preferred
✔ Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
✔ Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, diagnostics, repair procedures, and industry best practices
✔ Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
✔ Experience with field service software, mobile technology, and scheduling platforms
✔ Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
✔ Ability to motivate teams while maintaining high standards for quality and customer service
