ORGANIZATION SUMMARY
World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world's greatest crises in partnership with the church. The organization was founded in the aftermath of World War II to respond to the urgent humanitarian needs of war-torn Europe. Since then, for 80 years, across 100 countries, World Relief has partnered with local churches and communities to build a world where families thrive and communities flourish.

Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy.

POSITION SUMMARY:
 
The Economic Empowerment Coordinator will be providing direct services to eligible refugees and immigrants seeking employment, such as preparing clients with work-related activities, providing case management services, leading job-readiness workshop classes, presenting job opportunities to clients and assisting with job applications, resume writing and job interviews.
 
This is a temporary position through 1/4/2027. 
 
This is a part-time position for 25-30 hours per week. 1 work from home day/week. 
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide direct employment services to vulnerable refugees and other LEP-eligible clients 
  • Work in close cooperation with the employment team to strategize for employment placements 
  • Utilize online tools and resources to search for available job openings
  • Help clients fill out online job applications and follow-up on applications as needed
  • Prepare resumes for clients
  • Help teach job readiness workshop classes to small groups
  • (Optional) Actively engage with employers to inquire about job openings
  • Reporting and documentation in a timely manner
  • Maintain client confidentiality
  • Other Duties as necessary 
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Mature and personal Christian faith
  • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document
  • Valid drivers license, access to reliable vehicle and ability to pass MVR standards 
  • Good communicator
  • Excellent writing and computer skills
  • Shows great attention to detail
  • Dependable, Flexible, willing to adapt
  • Enjoys working with various cultures
  • Supports World Relief's ministry
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • For Bilingual/Multilingual capabilities - Language Preference: Spanish
  • 1 year minimum professional experience in employment services or case management preferred
  • Experience working with diverse populations; familiarity with the needs of refugees and immigrants is strongly preferred
$18 - $19 an hour
