Position Overview

Wellpath Behavioral Health & Consulting Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time telehealth capacity. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing the mental well-being of individuals through personalized therapeutic interventions, working remotely with clients across various backgrounds in Southampton, New York.

This position is entirely remote, providing you with the flexibility to deliver therapeutic care to clients from the comfort of your own home. Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mental health status of your clients during initial consultations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans reflecting evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s unique situation.
  • Facilitate regular therapy sessions, adapting therapeutic techniques to meet the evolving needs of clients dealing with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and more.
  • Empower clients by providing them with coping strategies, resources, and consistent support throughout their recovery journey.
  • Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals through referrals to psychiatrists or other specialists when necessary, ensuring a comprehensive treatment approach.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse patient population, including adults facing issues such as depression, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. You will encounter individuals from various socio-economic backgrounds, thus requiring a culturally competent approach to therapy that respects and values their unique experiences and perspectives.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A valid and current license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New York.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience working in mental health settings.
  • A strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidenced-based treatment protocols.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth technologies.
  • A commitment to ethical practice, including maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience are encouraged to apply:
