Job description

About the Role

We’re hiring a Marketplace Operations & Development Manager to take full ownership of our multi-channel marketplace presence. This is an internal, in-office role responsible for rebuilding and scaling Brakebee’s catalog across major platforms including Wayfair, Walmart, Amazon, eBay, and others.

You’ll lead a complete relaunch of our in-house and partner product lines — rebuilding listings, content, ads, and operational systems — and turn marketplaces into a repeatable growth engine for the company.

What You’ll Do

  • Rebuild and optimize 800+ SKUs across multiple online marketplaces
  • Develop and execute a complete content strategy (images, video, listings, launch posts, SEO)
  • Relaunch products using new listings, new UPCs, and structured release cycles
  • Manage marketplace advertising campaigns using a test-and-scale, performance-driven approach
  • Own front-line marketplace customer service and issue resolution
  • Coordinate cross-platform campaigns across marketplaces, web, and social
  • Create and maintain SOPs and documentation for all marketplace workflows
  • Track performance, iterate quickly, and improve results month over month

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience managing e-commerce or marketplace operations (Amazon, Walmart, Wayfair, eBay, or similar)
  • Strong organizational and systems-thinking skills
  • Comfort owning both strategy and execution
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
  • Interest in art, design, or creative commerce is a plus

Compensation & Performance Bonuses

  • Base Salary: $50,000–$55,000 (DOE)
  • Performance Bonus:
    • Monthly revenue targets with bonuses paid on performance above minimums
    • 10% bonus on revenue above minimum

This role is for someone who wants to build systems, not just maintain them.  As Brakebee grows, this role grows in scope and influence.

Company Description

Brakebee is the OS powering the everyday art community — online and off. We design and represent in-house art and gourmet brands, operate retail and gallery concepts, and connect artists, festivals, and retailers through one integrated creative platform. From pop-up events to wholesale and national distribution, we build the infrastructure behind how art is made, sold, and scaled.
