Now Hiring: Commercial Carpenter- Interior Systems

Carpenters Local 1846 is seeking skilled Interior Systems Carpenters for upcoming commercial construction projects in and around Byhalia, Mississippi. This is an excellent opportunity to join the highly respected United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America and build a stable career with competitive pay, industry-leading training, and strong benefits.

Interior Systems Carpenters play a vital role in commercial construction, installing the framing and finishing systems that shape modern buildings. If you take pride in craftsmanship, safety, and teamwork, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Install metal stud framing, drywall systems, and interior wall assemblies

  • Install acoustical ceilings, soffits, and specialty ceilings

  • Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and specifications

  • Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to project plans

  • Maintain a safe and productive jobsite

  • Work collaboratively with other trades and construction professionals

Qualifications

  • Experience with metal studs, drywall, and interior systems construction

  • Ability to read construction drawings and layouts

  • Strong work ethic and commitment to jobsite safety

  • Reliable transportation to jobsites in the region

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or scaffolding
