Job description

LFS, Inc., established in 1967 in Bellingham, Washington, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods. Headquartered in Bellingham, WA, we operate seven year-round locations across Washington and Alaska, including Bellingham, Seattle, Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer, and Sitka, along with seasonal locations in Dillingham and Naknek, Alaska. While our core business remains supporting the commercial fishing industry, we have expanded our offerings to include industrial and sport netting, hydraulic sales and services, wholesale and industrial supply, recreational marine and outdoor products, as well as online sales.


Job Summary: Assist customers with their purchases, maintain store organization, and provide excellent customer service to enhance shopping experience.

Looking for candidates who love the outdoors! Do you fish or crab? Are you a recreational boater? 

Essential Functions

  • Greet customers as they enter the store, assist them in finding products, and provide information about merchandise.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sales (POS) system, handle cash, credit transactions, and manage returns and exchanges.
  • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Restock shelves, arrange merchandise displays.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals and enhance the overall customer experience.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned. 

This is a part time non benefited position. You will be scheudled to work 29 hours or less per week. You will accrue sick leave according to AK Sick Leave Laws. 

Transportation and housing are not provided. 


Minimum Requirements 

Required Qualifications:

  • High School or GED certificate
  • 6-12 months retail sales experience

 Preferred education and experience: 

  • Previous POS experience
  • Experience working in retail environment

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift/move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
