Overview:
We are seeking a driven and experienced Distribution Manager to lead our warehouse and distribution operations with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and people leadership. This is a high-impact role where you will guide day-to-day operations while also influencing process improvements, cost optimization, and long-term supply chain strategy. Key Responsibilities:
Lead warehouse and distribution operations to achieve high performance in on-time delivery, order accuracy, and inventory control.
Ensure an effective flow of materials with strong FIFO and cycle-counting practices, maintaining accuracy above 95%.
Partner with procurement and transportation to optimize distribution costs and secure competitive rates.
Oversee daily scheduling, staffing, and workforce performance to ensure operations run smoothly and cost-effectively.
Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and accountability, creating an environment where employees are engaged and empowered.
Administer system-driven inventory management processes and ensure accuracy in warehousing and reporting.
Monitor budgets, identify areas for efficiency, and work toward achieving department and organizational goals.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure seamless alignment between operations and company objectives.
Contribute ideas, implement process improvements, and champion new technologies to enhance distribution performance.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in a business-related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred) or equivalent relevant experience.
5+ years of progressive warehouse/distribution experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills; experience using ERP systems (D365 preferred).
Excellent communication and team-building abilities with a proven track record of leading and motivating people.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to vendor and partner sites.
