Analyst / Associate, Commercial Development
TerraPower is seeking an Analyst or Associate, depending on experience, to support its rapidly growing commercial development activities. This unique opportunity will include a focus on capital markets, fundraising, offtake arrangements, and competitive positioning. They will interact with TerraPower's Commercial Development and Business Development teams as well as with external advisors to understand current market trends, develop new relationships with investors and manage fundraising efforts. This cross-functional opportunity will manage the internal programs to forecast capital expenditures, revenue opportunities, and assess fundraising needs. A successful candidate will be able to translate their deep technical abilities into clear, concise presentations to senior management to inform critical business decisions.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage both internal and external fundraising efforts under the direction of the CFO and VP, Commercial Development
  • Develop and maintain financial models to inform capital market activities
  • Concisely communicate findings to senior leadership and external partners
  • Leadership and management of small teams
  • Build alignment around key risks, associated mitigation strategies, contingency planning
  • Manage external advisors and internal teams in support of fundraising efforts
  • Conduct work in accordance with the Guiding Principles for work across functions within TerraPower
  • Work cooperatively with the reactor and medical isotopes divisions to understand capital needs, specific market dynamics and future growth potential

Key Qualifications and Skills
  • 2+ years of investment banking, corporate fundraising, project finance, venture capital or private equity experience
  • Successful and proven experience with large infrastructure finance, corporate finance, project finance, or fundraising for advanced technologies
  • Technically astute as the role requires working internally with advanced reactor programs and project managers to establish plans, financial models, and cash flow scenarios
  • Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills capable of presenting findings to senior management and external stakeholders
  • Strong quantitative background that can provide analytical and commercial support, business, and scenario planning to the TerraPower organization
  • Ability to work on tasks and teams that require a multi-disciplinary approach
  • Ability to work with minimum direction to solve challenging problems
  • The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork

Job details
Salary Range: $102,804 - $154,206
* We typically place offers in the lower to middle portion of the range to maintain internal equity and allow room for growth. Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected individual's qualifications experience. This range is specific to Washington State.
