At Taylor, we're passionate about what we do, believe there's always a better way, and invest in people who want to grow alongside the business.
Ready to reach your potential? It's time to look at Taylor.
Your Opportunity: The Human Resources Manager will be based onsite in Dayton, Ohio and serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to senior business leaders. This role aligns HR strategy with business objectives to strengthen organizational performance, employee engagement, and leadership effectiveness across both professional and manufacturing environments.
In this position, you will:
  • Provide HR partnership and support to multiple business units within the Print & Service Solutions group
  • Lead and mentor a small team of HR Business Partner direct reports
  • Own and execute HR initiatives across talent management, employee relations, workforce planning, and organizational development

This role offers strong visibility and influence today, with opportunity for expanded scope over time, including supporting larger or more complex business segments and potential growth in leadership responsibility as the organization continues to evolve.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on: someone who can translate business needs into actionable HR solutions, build credibility with leaders, and develop a high-performing HR team.
Work Authorization:
To be considered for the Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

  • Guide leaders on effective performance management, continuous feedback, and employee development practices

People Leadership
  • Manage, mentor, and develop HR Business Partner direct reports, fostering growth, capability-building, and future leadership readiness

Employee Relations & Compliance
  • Lead employee relations efforts, including investigations and disciplinary actions, in alignment with company values
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as customer contractual requirements (e.g., Affirmative Action Plans, HIPAA)

Workforce Planning & Organizational Development
  • Partner with leaders to analyze workforce trends, staffing models, and succession plans
  • Support organizational design and change initiatives that improve efficiency and align structure with strategy

Engagement & Culture
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives
  • Partner with leadership to support an inclusive, positive workplace culture

Data, Collaboration & Projects
  • Use HR data and analytics to identify trends, inform decisions, and share insights with leadership
  • Collaborate daily with HR Centers of Excellence (Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition)
  • Lead or support HR projects that drive continuous improvement and operational excellence

You Must Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years managing direct reports (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment law
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, organizational development, and change management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop others
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt style to different audiences and business needs
  • Analytical mindset with experience using HR metrics and data to guide decisions
  • Ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leaders
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and HR analytics tools

We Would Also Prefer
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments
  • HR certification (SHRM or HRCI)
  • Experience using Workday (HRIS/ATS)
  • Bilingual capability

Key Competencies for Success
  • Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving
  • Leadership & Team Development
  • Business Acumen & Partnership
  • Effective Communication & Influence
  • Organizational Design & Change Management

Why This Role?
This is a high-impact HR leadership role with meaningful exposure to senior leaders and the opportunity to grow alongside the business-expanding influence, scope, and leadership responsibility as Taylor continues to evolve.
