  • Manage the content calendar and oversee day-to-day social media publishing, community engagement, and content optimization.

  • Lead social media campaigns from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with broader marketing and communications initiatives.

  • Partner closely with the Senior Graphic Designer and external vendors, as needed, to create visually compelling content that aligns with brand standards.

  • Identify and execute opportunities for real-time content, trend participation, and cultural moments that align with the organization's mission and values.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with influencers, creators, alumni, partners, and advocates to amplify reach and engagement.

  • Support executive thought leadership and organizational storytelling through strategic social media initiatives.

  • Monitor social conversations and sentiment to identify opportunities, emerging issues, and community feedback.

Analytics & Performance Optimization
  • Track, analyze, and report on social media performance across platforms, campaigns, and content formats.

  • Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations to improve engagement, audience growth, and campaign effectiveness.

  • Utilize social media management and analytics tools to measure ROI and optimize strategy.

  • Create regular reports and presentations for leadership, highlighting performance trends, learnings, and opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with teams across Programs, Development, Research, and Executive Leadership to support organizational priorities through social media.

  • Develop strategic content plans and campaigns that support key initiatives, events, partnerships, fundraising efforts, and programmatic milestones.

  • Ensure consistency in brand voice, messaging, and visual identity across all social channels.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Minumum 4 years of experience managing social media strategy and content.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and publish high-quality social content quickly in response to timely news, cultural moments, organizational priorities, and public events, while exercising sound judgment and maintaining brand consistency.

  • Demonstrated success developing and executing social media strategies that increase brand awareness, audience engagement, and measurable business or organizational outcomes.

  • Experience creating content for, and managing the social media presence of a senior executive, high-profile leader, or public figure.

  • Exceptional storytelling and copywriting skills, with the ability to adapt messaging across platforms while maintaining a consistent brand voice.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, audience behaviors, platform best practices, emerging trends, and digital culture.
