About the Role

Design at Uber is focused not only on functionality, but also on creating experiences rooted in joy, clarity, and delight. As a Senior Product Designer, you will help shape impactful, user-centered experiences that support millions of drivers and couriers around the world.

This opportunity sits within the Earner Design organization, specifically supporting the Growth Levers charter — a team focused on optimizing incentive programs and earning experiences that help drivers and couriers discover, start, and return to earning opportunities aligned with their goals.

You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Data Scientists, Researchers, and cross-functional stakeholders to design scalable mobile experiences that balance business objectives, operational complexity, and user motivation.

This work directly impacts earners who rely on Uber in many ways — from supplementing income during school, to covering day-to-day expenses, to achieving long-term financial goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own design challenges end-to-end, from early concept exploration through launch and iteration

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, interaction flows, and polished visual designs for complex mobile experiences

  • Design scalable systems and frameworks rather than isolated screens or one-off solutions

  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, Operations, and UX Research teams

  • Translate user insights and business goals into intuitive, elegant user experiences

  • Present work across varying levels of fidelity throughout the product lifecycle

  • Contribute to and evolve design systems, interaction patterns, and mobile UX standards

  • Brainstorm, critique, and iterate collaboratively with fellow designers

  • Ship, measure, and continuously improve experiences based on qualitative and quantitative feedback

  • Communicate design rationale clearly to stakeholders and leadership teams

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience designing consumer-facing digital products

  • Strong proficiency with Figma and modern prototyping tools

  • Experience collaborating within fast-paced technology environments

  • Portfolio demonstrating high-quality UI/UX work and thoughtful problem solving

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading product design initiatives from concept through execution

  • Strong UX, Interaction Design, and prototyping expertise

  • Systems-thinking mindset with the ability to build scalable frameworks

  • Experience designing complex operational workflows or internal tools

  • Strong visual design skills with attention to micro-interactions and motion

  • Experience with service design or systems design methodologies

  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation abilities

  • Ability to independently manage stakeholders, priorities, and deliverables

  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies

  • Experience working in high-growth, cross-functional environments

  • Degree in HCI, Graphic Design, or related discipline preferred

Ideal Backgrounds

Target candidates with experience designing complex mobile ecosystems where:
