Job Description:
- Shift 1 coverage is from 6am - 3pm. Expected hours: ~60 hours/week on average
- Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
- Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
- Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
- Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment.
- Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
- May prepare kitting packages for assembly production.
- Primarily data entry-focused role within a warehouse environment
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams
- Support shipping/receiving processes as needed
- Occasional light physical work (not heavy-lifting focused; packers handle most physical tasks)
- Strong data entry and computer skills
- Experience with Excel
- Good communication skills (email, cross-team coordination via Outlook)
- Prior warehouse experience (2+ years preferred)
- Dependable, proactive, and willing to learn
- Exposure to SAP (not required, basic familiarity is sufficient)
- Prior shipping/receiving experience desired
- Open to various industry backgrounds (not limited to manufacturing)
- Warehouse experience is prioritized over management/ERP-heavy backgrounds
- Candidates with long-term commitment and reliability

Benefits:
Healthcare Insurance: Synectics offers eligible employees and their dependents healthcare coverage through BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois. Eligibility begins on the 1st day of the calendar month following 60 days of continuous full time employment with Synectics. Premiums are subsidized by Synectics.
Dental Insurance: Synectics offers eligible employees and their dependents a dental plan through MetLife. Eligibility begins on the 1st day of the calendar month following 60 days of continuous full time employment with Synectics.
Vision Insurance: Synectics offers eligible employees vision insurance through VSP. Eligibility begins on the 1st day of the calendar month following 60 days of continuous full time employment with Synectics.
401(k) Plan: The Synectics Inc. Investment Savings Retirement Plan. Synectics offers all employees who are 21 years of age or older the opportunity to invest in the 401(k) Plan on the first of the month following at least 1 calendar year after employment begins.
