Job description

Job Summary:
Sutherland is seeking a Lead - Account Management (SME) who is attentive and goal-oriented. The role involves building payment gateways and systems, as well as designing cloud-native infrastructures and integrating third-party APIs in payment ecosystems.
Responsibilities:
• Building payment gateways, POS systems, and card transaction processing
• Knowledge of settlement, reconciliation, and fraud prevention workflows
• Familiarity with Azure services (as depicted in the provided architecture diagram) including:
• Azure DevOps
• Azure SQL Database
• Azure App Services / Web Apps
• Azure Storage
• Application Gateway, Load Balancers, and Networking components
• Key Vault, API Management, Service Bus, Functions
• Cloud-native system design and scalability
• Familiarity with multi-tenant architectures
• Experience integrating 3rd-party APIs in payment ecosystems
Qualifications:
Required:
• 8+ years relevant experience
• Proven track record in enterprise-scale payment systems
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Comfortable working in hybrid business/technical discussions
• Availability to participate fully during the workshop sessions
• Strong ability to work in a collaborative architecture review setting
• Skilled in identifying technical debt and refactoring strategies
• Ability to bridge tech and business discussions in payments context
