The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employee(s) assigned to this job.
JOB SUMMARY:
The SAP Technology Administrator serves as the customer-side SAP technical administrator responsible for retained Basis, security, BTP Cockpit administration, cloud platform operations, and operational support activities in a RISE with SAP environment. This role manages the operational boundary with SAP's RISE Managed Services, ECS, Product Support, and internal Stater Bros. Markets operations while owning customer-retained responsibilities such as daily system monitoring, incident coordination, transport and change management, user and security administration, integration platform support, release assessment, upgrade planning, and technical coordination across the SAP landscape.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Act as the primary customer-side technical interface with SAP RISE Managed Services, SAP ECS, Product Support, SAP Technical Quality Manager, Customer Success Partner, and related operations teams.
  • Perform daily monitoring and assessment of SAP systems, SAP BTP services, HANA database health, interfaces, integrations, and operational dashboards; create incidents for system flags, alerts, errors, or service issues and follow through until closure.
  • Provide technical and operational support for projects and support activities, including landscape readiness, access setup, integration coordination, release planning, and post-go-live support.
  • Maintain clear documentation for SAP technical operations, BTP administration, security administration, landscape activities, service requests, incidents, change requests, operational handoffs, and support procedures.
  • Manage and follow up on open operational items, user-reported incidents, error incidents, service requests, SAP cases, SAP service requests, and ECS support tickets until resolution.
  • Administer SAP BTP Cockpit, SAP Integration Suite, SAP Cloud Identity Services, SAP Enable Now, SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Private Cloud Workspace, SAP for Me, SAP Portal administration, and related SAP cloud services.
  • Open, coordinate, and track SAP Product Support cases, SAP ECS service requests, remote connection requests, maintenance planner activities, and Product Availability Matrix support needs.
  • Assess, plan, schedule, and coordinate system upgrades, patching windows, release assessments, maintenance activities, and new SAP release impacts with SAP ECS and internal stakeholders.
  • Review SAP Hot News, SAP Security Notes, new SAP releases, webinars, and product updates to assess operational impact and recommend required follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate HANA Cockpit database monitoring, performance checks, maintenance activities, and related technical follow-ups in alignment with SAP RISE and ECS responsibilities.
  • Support SAP Customer Activity Repository systems, SAP BusinessObjects, SFTP services, SSO configurations, SAP remote connections, interface users, RFC destinations, communication arrangements, and integration-related technical configuration.
  • Manage SAP users, roles, authorizations, access issues, cloud identity integration, and segregation-of-duties controls across S/4HANA, CAR, PMR, BTP, and related SAP applications.
  • Manage SAP change requests and transport approvals across the landscape, ensuring alignment with Stater Bros. Markets change control, release governance, and operational readiness processes.
  • Represent Stater Bros. Markets Operations in periodic RISE, ECS, Product Support, and service review meetings, documenting risks, follow-ups, decisions, open items, and required actions.
  • Work with development teams to ensure client needs are accounted for in all new development initiatives
  • Consult business analyst and business relationship managers on client feedback and needs to guide planning upgrades and new features.
  • Analyze and collaborate on organizational improvements to increase quality and efficiency
  • Develop outstanding relationships with clients and external partners
  • Effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks at the same time
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer information systems or other bachelor's degree with equivalent combination of formal education and related experience
  • 8+ years of SAP Basis, SAP technical operations, SAP security administration, or SAP cloud platform administration experience
  • Strong understanding of the RISE with SAP shared responsibility model, including SAP ECS, Product Support, and customer-retained operational responsibilities.
  • Hands-on experience administering SAP BTP Cockpit, SAP Integration Suite, SAP Cloud Identity Services, SAP Enable Now, SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Private Cloud Workspace, SAP for Me, and SAP Portal functions.
  • Experience with daily monitoring, incident assessment, SERA incident creation and follow-up, SAP case management, SAP service requests, open item tracking, and managed service governance.
  • Hands-on knowledge of transport management, SAP change requests, system refresh coordination, release assessment, upgrade planning, client administration, RFC destinations, remote connections, communication arrangements, and SAP technical configuration.
  • Strong SAP security knowledge, including user administration, role design, authorization administration, SSO support, cloud identity integration, GRC concepts, and segregation-of-duties controls.
  • Working knowledge of SAP HANA Cockpit, database monitoring, maintenance coordination, performance assessment, and managed cloud database support processes.
  • Familiarity with SAP CAR, SAP BusinessObjects, SFTP, interface monitoring, integration support, Product Availability Matrix, SAP Maintenance Planner, SAP Hot News, SAP Security Notes, and SAP release planning.
  • SAP Basis, SAP Security, SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, or SAP Cloud ALM certification preferred.
  • Strong coordination, documentation, troubleshooting, operational follow-through, vendor management, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with end-users, project team members and management
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a variety of internal business relationships; must be able to interface with colleagues up to senior level executives
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently, take initiative and provide follow-through
  • Excellent research, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills; along with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and outstanding problem-solving skills
