Position Overview:

Trading Infrastructure Specialists at Squarepoint are responsible for maintaining the reliability and stability of both our trading services across the cloud, as well as our own data centers. Alongside our global team of exceptional technologists, you will work across our compute hardware, infrastructure applications, and networks and telecoms technologies, being directly accountable for the timely identification and analysis of infrastructure failures as the crucial first line of defense.

This is an excellent opportunity to be involved across a wide range of technology infrastructure, including: computational hardware and storage, operating systems and virtualization technology, real-time data streaming platforms, CI/CD infrastructure, load balancers, observability tools, container orchestration platforms, and layer 1 networking technologies among others.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering or a similar discipline
  • Up to 4 years experience in a similar environment
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience administering RDBMS systems such as MSSQL, Postgres, etc.
  • Ability to program or script in one or more of: Python, Bash, PowerShell
  • Experience with one or more of: Kubernetes, Gitlab, Prometheus, Ansible, and an understanding of CI/CD concepts
  • Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail and ability to work within a Global team
  • Eagerness to continuously learn new technologies and develop with us
  • Curious and thrive under pressure.

Nice to have: 

  • Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management (Chef, Puppet or Ansible).
