PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as a mid-level Navy Acquisition Logistics Analyst at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division, Indian Head, MD.  You'll have an opportunity to work on world-class military programs that support the US Navy's Warfare technology as part of the Air Systems Engineering Branch.  The applicant shall work on site with the Air Systems Engineering team with some off-site work from home available on a weekly basis. The applicant will be required to work with logistics leads and their engineers with development, acquisition, production, fielding and life cycle support for Navy Air systems.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of high school diploma with 10 years experience  or Bachelors Degree from accredited institution, preferably in logistics, supply chain management, business or related field with 5+ years experience
  • DAU (Defense Acquisition University) or industry certification in logistics is advantageous
  • Acquisition/life cycle logistics experience with Navy is desirable.
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
  • Understanding of Logistics IPS (Integrated Product Support) elements
  • Experience drafting logistics supporting documentation, i.e., LCSP (Life Cycle Sustainment Plan), Demil plans (Demilitarization plan), technical manual drafting/updating
  • Experience developing integrated logistics schedules
  • Experience identifying logistics risks to program cost, schedule and performance.
  • Experience with analysis report writing and weekly report writing
  • Experience with tracking action items and obtaining status information
  • Experience with taking meeting minutes and presenting the minutes in an organized manner.
  • Possess strong MS Office skills to include, but not limited to MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Possess excellent verbal/written communications skills and attention to detail
  • Interest and aptitude for working on complex technical projects and teams in a fast paced environment while managing multiple assignments
  • Ability to interact with technical and non-technical customers and external teammates to understand their issues, frame potential solutions and develop collaborative projects
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience working with aviation ordnance or energetic systems is a plus.
  • Experience with logistics data systems such as FLIS, Haystack, etc. is a plus.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation. Current successful background investigation completion is a plus.
