Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Overview
The Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations of the department and supervises the team members assigned to the department, and the scheduling of patients, personnel, and work progress. Promotes a safe work environment, incorporates national patient safety initiatives, oversees team member orientation, and performs annual performance reviews/evaluations. Participates in quality performance improvement activities, in-service education, customer service programs, and maintains complex equipment and inventory in order to optimize quality patient care.
What you will do

  • Supervises technical team members and ancillary staff assigned to the department. Oversees team member orientation and provides and assists with performance evaluations for the team.

  • Produces quality images following appropriate protocols and procedures. Provides clinical documentation per scope of practice.

  • Maintains efficiency for patient scheduling, staffing and productivity.

  • Promotes a safe work environment through commitment to safety and quality. Prevents or reduces harms through application of all policies, procedures, protocols using safety behaviors.

  • Maintains and utilizes complex equipment and inventory to optimize patient care.

  • Ensures all applicable system, department, regulatory and accrediting standards are followed. Reports variances.


Qualifications
Education

  • Program Graduate, Accredited Sonography Program (Required) or

  • Associates Degree, Accredited Sonography Program (Preferred) or

  • Bachelors Degree, Accredited Sonography Program (Preferred)


Experience

  • 5-6 years imaging experience (Required)

  • 3-4 years leadership experience (Preferred)


Licenses and Certifications

  • CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire(Required) and

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer with an Adult Echocardiography specialty (RDCS-AE) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Upon Hire(Required) or

  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Upon Hire(Required) and

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification in Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Upon Hire(Preferred)
