The Entry-Level Electrical Engineer will support the Facilities & Engineering team by assisting with small-scale electrical projects and progressively taking on larger, more complex initiatives. This individual will contribute to equipment upgrades, obsolescence management, documentation updates, and electrical distribution system support. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, technically curious, collaborative, and committed to delivering high-quality engineering work with a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Project Support
  • Start by executing and supporting small electrical engineering projects, with the opportunity to progress to larger project scopes as skills develop.
  • Provide electrical expertise to cross-functional project teams as needed.
  • Support equipment obsolescence assessments and contribute to planning and execution of upgrade strategies.
Documentation & Technical Updates
  • Update and maintain Preventive Maintenance (PM) documents.
  • Assist in revising and creating technical specifications.
  • Update and author Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) to ensure compliance and clarity.
Technical Skills & System Support
  • Learn to connect to and configure devices used in electrical distribution systems.
  • Develop competency in understanding and applying Modbus communication principles.
  • Gain exposure to basic automation concepts and systems integration.
  • Apply a solid understanding of control systems and control circuits in daily tasks and troubleshooting.
  • Utilize the National Electrical Code (NEC) to research requirements and identify compliant solutions.

Minimum Qualifications
Technical Competencies
  • Baseline understanding of electrical controls and control circuits.
  • Technologically savvy and comfortable learning new systems, devices, and software tools.
  • Ability to learn electrical communication protocols (e.g., Modbus).
  • Interest in developing automation knowledge.
  • Ability to use the NEC as a reference to find information and apply it appropriately.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to reading wiring diagrams, schematics, or control drawings.
