REI Systems is seeking a Mid-Level .NET / SQL Developer to support the NYC Checkbook program. The selected candidate will develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise web applications, APIs, and database solutions that support critical financial transparency and reporting systems.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET 6/8, and SQL Server.
  • Design and support REST APIs and backend services.
  • Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application and database issues.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA, and project stakeholders in an Agile environment.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and production releases.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and system modernization efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of experience in .NET application development.
  • Strong experience with:
    • C#
    • ASP.NET Core / MVC
    • .NET 6/8
    • SQL Server
    • Entity Framework and/or Dapper
    • REST API development
  • Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure cloud services and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Knowledge of OAuth2/JWT authentication and application security.
  • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment tools.
  • Experience supporting government or public-sector applications.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Masters degree preferred. 

Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance is preferred.

Location: Hybrid – 2 days per week at REI Systems’ Sterling, VA office.
