Preschool Director

Coral Reef Academy | Melbourne, FL

Full-Time | Leadership Position

Coral Reef Academy is looking for an experienced, energetic, and compassionate Preschool Director to join our leadership team!

We are seeking someone who is passionate about early childhood education and enjoys leading a team, building relationships with families, and creating a positive environment where children and teachers can thrive.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced childcare professional who is ready to take the next step in their career and play an important role in the continued growth and success of our program.

What You'll Do

As our Director, you will oversee the daily operations of the preschool and work closely with teachers, families, and our management team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the school
  • Leading, supporting, and developing teaching staff
  • Hiring, onboarding, and training employees
  • Maintaining appropriate classroom staffing and ratios
  • Building strong relationships with families
  • Addressing parent questions and concerns professionally
  • Supporting teachers with classroom management and challenging behaviors
  • Monitoring classroom quality and curriculum implementation
  • Ensuring compliance with Florida DCF licensing requirements
  • Overseeing VPK requirements and documentation
  • Monitoring staff training, credentials, and required documentation
  • Assisting with enrollment and maintaining strong relationships with prospective families
  • Managing schedules, staffing needs, supplies, and administrative responsibilities
  • Conducting staff evaluations and providing ongoing coaching and feedback
  • Helping create a positive, professional, and collaborative workplace culture

Qualifications

  • Florida Director Credential required or eligibility to obtain
  • Previous experience in childcare, preschool, early learning, or education
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Florida DCF childcare regulations preferred
  • VPK experience preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Must meet all applicable background screening and childcare employment requirements
