Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer/Chief Compliance Officer, this role leads our enterprise-wide Compliance Management System (CMS) and serving as the Company's Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer. The VP, Compliance & BSA Officer provides strategic direction and operational oversight of all compliance functions, ensuring the Company meets its obligations under applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role collaborates closely with Senior Management, the Audit and Risk Committee of the Board, and cross-functional business units to foster a solutions-driven compliance culture.
Job Responsibility
Compliance Program Design & BSA/AML Oversight
  • Design and continuously improve the Company's Compliance Management System (CMS), ensuring robust and effective processes that proactively identify and remediate compliance risk, including:
    • Product compliance
    • Risk assessments
    • Data and analytics
    • Issues management
    • Monitoring and testing
    • Consumer complaint management
    • Compliance training
    • Policies and procedures
    • Oversee third-party and vendor compliance obligations as part of CMS framework
  • Serve as the Company's designated BSA Officer with full responsibility for all Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) program requirements, including:
    • Developing and implementing the BSA/AML compliance program
    • Overseeing Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) requirements
    • Serving as the primary regulatory contact for BSA/AML inquiries and examinations
    • Managing the BSA/AML team to execute on the BSA/AML compliance program
  • Monitor regulatory developments (federal and state) and assess the impact on Company operations; lead implementation of required regulatory changes.

Leadership, Culture & Governance
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a highly effective and motivated Compliance team, building capability and bench strength.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, governance, and discipline across the organization through a solutions-oriented mindset that balances compliance rigor with operational agility.
  • Partner with the Chief Legal Officer/Chief Compliance Officer on strategic compliance matters, regulatory strategy, and risk management.

Regulatory Engagement & Reporting
  • Serve as a key liaison with federal and state regulators.
  • Provide regular reporting to Senior Management and the Audit and Risk Committee of the Board on the state of the Compliance Program, including identification of weaknesses, corrective actions, and program updates.

Job Responsibilities Cont.
Education Required
Bachelor's degree required; specialized compliance designations such as CRCM (Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager) or CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) highly preferred.
Experience Required
Minimum of 10 years of progressive compliance experience at a Financial Institution (highly preferred) or consumer financial services company; minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management role.
Knowledge Required
Deep knowledge of federal consumer protection laws and regulations (TILA, ECOA, FCRA, FDCPA, UDAAP, BSA/AML, OFAC, GLBA, MLA, SCRA, and applicable state regulations). Thorough understanding of compliance management system frameworks and state/CFPB examination procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and influence across functions. Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic, high-volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing the consumer lending industry
