Propulsion Controls Engineering has a job opening
for a Planner / Scheduler II, with a Minimum of five years of experience with scheduling processes; supporting our San Diego, CA location.

Job Summary

A Planner / Scheduler II is responsible for the developing and maintaining production schedules. Organizes, structures, and tracks, tasks, resources and milestones based upon contractual data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accurately manages a Primavera P6 (Oracle) Project Schedule ensuring daily up-to-date revision
  • Effectively builds and maintains organized Projects to include sub-tier tasks, milestones, predecessors, and resource allocation as necessary to provide an accurate illustration of both current and future production obligations.
  • Remains current with Oracle Project scheduling. Has knowledge of Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets applications and can interface with legacy Microsoft Project schedules.
  • Provides detailed reports, charts, and schedules for review daily or when requested.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Position Requirement

Education:

  • High School and/or advanced technical schooling preferred.
  • Formal training in the application of Project Management Programs (e.g. Primavera P6 and MS Project)

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Minimum of (5) years of experience with scheduling processes.
  • Trade Experience within the ship repair/shipyard industry, particularly machinery, preferred.
  • Possess a general knowledge of trades associated within the ship repair industry, (i.e., welder, pipe fitter, outside/inside machinist, electrician, etc.)
  • Must be reliable, self-disciplined and motivated.
  • Possess excellent communication skills; as both a listener and when providing direction.
