Job Description:
As a Field Service Technician at Pitney Bowes, you will play a key role in the Client's life cycle and experience. We are seeking mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working in a client-facing environment. In this role, you will provide service to a variety of clients and support field service for all our shipping and mailing technology, from Inserters to Lockers. A successful Field Service Technician is client-centric, has strong customer service, is comfortable managing significant windshield time, and has experience repairing or troubleshooting both hardware and software solutions.
Your primary service area will be within 2 hours of Charleston, South Carolina; some travel beyond this radius may be required.
In this role, you will have a consistent Monday - Friday and 8:00 am - 5:00 pm schedule working in alignment with traditional office hours (some overtime may be required). The wage range for this position is $23 to $25 / hour, with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements and the location where you will be performing the job.

You are:

You will:
  • Install, service, and upgrade Pitney Bowes Shipping and Mailing equipment for our clients
  • Support both Hardware and Software solutions
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment successfully with the goal of reducing Client callbacks
  • Train clients on Pitney Bowes equipment at the time of installation
  • Work in a 100% client facing capacity as a representative of Pitney Bowes
  • Cover a multi-zip code territory requiring significant windshield time
  • Utilize hand tools or small power tools to execute repairs, maintenance, and installations of Pitney Bowes Shipping and Mailing equipment
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Your Background
As a Field Service Technician, you have:
  • A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation
  • The ability to lift 55 lbs + with or without accommodation
  • The ability to travel within a multi-zip code territory with up to 80% windshield time
  • The ability to bend, squat, stoop, or stand for extended periods of time
  • Complete familiarity with a Windows environment and basic knowledge of PC and Networking (Preferred)
  • Experience with automated equipment (Preferred)
