Job description

Summary:
SCWA is currently seeking an Associate Civil Engineer to work in conjunction with the Civil Engineer and senior Engineers to design and develop well-field infrastructure, as well as the renovation and repair of existing well-field infrastructure. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm with Sat/Sun off.

Description:
Responsibilities include:
  • Independent preparation of CAD design drawings.
  • Independent preparation of project specifications.
  • Independent preparation of cost estimates.
  • Independent project bid/ procurement & contract administration.
  • Inspection of construction operations.
  • Review invoices and prepare progress payments.
  • Project types will include buildings, site grading, drainage, piping, and related infrastructure.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
  • EIT (Engineer in Training) preferred.
  • CMIT (Construction Manager in Training) preferred.
  • 3-6 years' experience working professionally in the engineering field required.
  • Working knowledge of civil engineering, construction standards, drafting standards and various building construction codes required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Drafting as well as Microsoft Office required.
  • Good organizational skills as well as excellent spoken and written communication skills necessary.
  • Ability to work outdoors to inspect construction work in-progress.
  • Conduct and work in a professional manner to resolve construction conflicts with Contractors, Manufacturers, Suppliers, etc.
