Location: Savannah, GA | Pay Rate: $21.21/hour | Schedule: Full-Time, 1st Shift (6am - 4:30pm)
Build the future of flight, one detail at a time.
Join the fast-paced and detail-driven world of aviation as a Placard & Part Making Technician with PDS Tech Commercial, supporting a leading Aerospace Company. In this critical role, you will be responsible for producing and installing essential aircraft components—placards, identification plates, spray masks, and stamped wires—that ensure regulatory compliance, operational clarity, and safety on board.
This is more than just manufacturing—your precision, creativity, and technical skill help ensure the success of every aircraft that leaves the ground.
What You'll Be Doing
Interpret and apply engineering drawings, customer specifications, and process documents to create aircraft placards, ID plates, and spray painting masks.
Use software such as Adobe Illustrator, Gerber Omega, and PDF tools to design and produce accurate, regulation-compliant visuals.
Operate specialized equipment including programmable foil printers, sign cutting systems, engravers, wire stampers, and inkjet printers.
Create placards in multiple languages to meet foreign registration requirements.
Verify components using precision tools and complete final installation when required.
Maintain traceability and documentation for all manufactured parts to comply with FAA and internal inspection standards.
Monitor aircraft schedules to ensure materials and parts are prepared on time.
Support process improvements and Lean initiatives focused on safety and efficiency.
Perform equipment maintenance and assist in managing inventory.
What You Need to Succeed
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with engineering drawings, technical specifications, or similar documentation.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to read and interpret precise technical instructions related to production work.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Adobe Illustrator or other design software.
Familiarity with sign cutting, engraving, or wire stamping tools.
Exposure to aircraft manufacturing or aerospace industry processes.
