Electrical Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting customer-focused manufacturing solutions by processing engineering requests, developing electrical designs, supporting product improvements, and troubleshooting integrated systems. How You'll Make an Impact

• Process Requests for Engineering Quotations (RFEQs) to support sales activities and project execution.
• Provide direct technical support to sales, service, distributors, and partners as required.
• Develop and maintain electrical designs for manufacturing solutions, including peripheral equipment integration.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, including:
  • Functional specifications
  • Installation instructions
  • Wiring diagrams and wiring tables
  • Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Process and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
• Conduct investigations and root cause analysis related to Notifications of Problem (NOPs).
• Drive continuous improvement of electrical designs, systems, and engineering processes.
• Support standardization initiatives, including common components and design practices.
• Create and maintain project schedules to support delivery commitments.
• Perform conceptual and detailed electrical design work.
• Support U.S. sourcing activities for electrical components and systems.
• Manage cost control and cost reduction initiatives while meeting project objectives.
• Evaluate and specify electrical and electromechanical components.
• Troubleshoot electromechanical systems, components, and integrated solutions.
• Perform basic setup, programming, and troubleshooting of:
  • PLCs
  • Motor drives
  • Industrial communication systems

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• 3-7 years of electrical design experience in a manufacturing, industrial, automation, or related environment.
• Experience processing and supporting RFEQs, ECOs, Sales Orders, and ERP-driven engineering workflows.
• Experience creating electrical designs and engineering documentation, including wiring diagrams, BOMs, functional specifications, and installation documentation.
• Experience troubleshooting electromechanical systems and performing root cause analysis.
• Working knowledge of PLC programming, motor drives, and industrial communication protocols.
• Skilled at progressing from problem statement to well-documented and tested design solutions.
• Understanding and application of national and international standards, including ISO, OSHA, and ANSI standards.
• Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on standard designs while collaborating on more complex engineering challenges.
• Ability to effectively partner with sales, service, manufacturing, suppliers, distributors, and customers.
• Ability to travel up to 10% to support customers, distributors, and partners.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and controls.
• Experience working within ERP-driven engineering environments.
• Experience supporting cost reduction initiatives and design standardization efforts.
• Prior software coding experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
