Key Responsibilities
Identify Complex problems and needs at the customer site and work throughout the work cycle until the implementation of the solution
Lead recipe creation to optimize system performance and Train PSE/AEs' in recipe creation
Application Qualification of new technologies/features, Executes ß-sites, evaluation and demos at customers site
Participate in Customer Demo Activities
Participate in finding the solution, follow up on solution execution
Create new methodologies in order to optimized system performance for specific application
Analysis and Transfer new application capabilities in the system envelope from product division to customer application support team
Participates in customer technical review meetings

Applications Engineer - 3D X-ray Systems
As an Applications Engineer, you will join an exciting and growing team of scientists, engineers, and research professionals. In this role, you will collaborate on the use of advanced 3D X-ray systems to support a wide range of research and industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct system demonstrations for prospective customers
  • Develop new applications and use cases for 3D X-ray technology
  • Contribute to defining and refining product specifications based on application insights
  • Deliver customer training on system operation, workflows, and data analysis
  • Develop and optimize imaging and analysis workflows
  • Perform tool characterization and baseline performance evaluations
  • Provide customer-facing technical sales support, including:
    • Delivering technical demo presentations
    • Supporting conferences and trade shows
    • Contributing to technical publications and conference presentations

Customer Base
Our customers include semiconductor failure analysis (FA) laboratories, advanced R&D centers, academic research institutions, and central microscopy facilities.
Role Impact
In this role, you will serve as a critical technical bridge between engineering, sales, and marketing. You will act as the voice of the customer, advocating internally while working closely with external clients and engineering teams to:
  • Develop repeatable workflows for routine applications
  • Identify and enable new, high-value applications of 3D X-ray technology
  • Help solve complex, high-value problems (HVPs) across multiple industries

Essential Qualifications
  • BS or MS degree in a relevant technical field
  • Hands-on experience designing and conducting experiments, with the ability to analyze and communicate results
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% (domestic and international)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in microscopy or related imaging techniques
  • Experience performing system demonstrations in a commercial or customer-facing environment
  • Foundational understanding of X-ray absorption principles and imaging/optical fundamentals

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
