At Northern Trust, data drives all of our decision-making and HR is no exception. The HR Data and Analytics team pioneers Northern Trust's approach to talent strategy and organizational growth. As a member of the HR Data and Analytics team, you will play an important role in helping our HR department address the people-related data and analytical needs of internal clients.

The HR Data and Analytics Senior Consultant is responsible for creating a comprehensive strategy, delivering data-driven insights and presenting information in a way that helps inform HR solutions to business needs. You will interact directly with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) on a regular basis to ensure they are obtaining the appropriate data and metrics needed and to collect feedback for future enhancements. Additionally, you will be expected to provide thought leadership and strategic direction for the use of people data and metrics in the business.

The key responsibilities of the role include:
Exercise independent judgement in identifying and resolving human capital requests/problems within established guidelines
Work closely with internal partners to analyze data and produce visualizations to support the understanding of data (turnover, job movement, surveys, etc.)
In partnership with HRBPs (HR Business Partners) design and create reporting and analytics solutions to solve business issues
Learn the business and find appropriate approaches to issues
Perform basic data analyses to provide insights in the organization
Effectively consult with HRBPs to understand and anticipate the needs of the business; Use expertise to guide partners through accessing data, filtering data, and retrieving the most useful information
Responsibly access and release sensitive data
Able to serve as a key subject matter expert for stakeholders around the availability of human capital data, tools, and resources
Able to learn how the business operates and understand the needs of the business; Use consultative skills to provide the best solutions for the business
Work independently with your stakeholders (HRBPs, HR, Business Leaders) to create awareness and execution of processes and support models for recurring HR activities (succession planning, performance reviews, promotions, etc.)
Leverage data governance for consistent, standardized deployment of data and metrics


Skills/ Qualifications:
3-6 years of directly related experience
Familiarity with HRIS (HR Information System), Workday preferred
Advanced knowledge of Excel and general knowledge of Power BI
Ability to prioritize a variety of requests and stakeholders; Experience with data management and analysis
Self-starter with ability to independently complete projects
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong team/Relationship building skills
Accountability/Ownership over specific relationships within the business
Strong attention to detail
The successful candidate will benefit from having:
A College or University degree in Data Management, Statistics, or I/O Psychology degree

Working Model: Hybrid (#LI-Hybrid)
We have a balanced hybrid working model to ensure you get the flexibility you need, and the successful candidate will spend their time between working in the office and working from home.

Salary Range:

$95,600 - 162,400 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
