Job description

Clayton Services is searching for a Field Service Technician to join a growing industrial equipment manufacturer in Southwest Houston. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and commissioning industrial equipment at customer facilities throughout the region.
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $32.00/hour plus OT
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) w/ match, short and long term disability, PTO, holidays, and more.
Field Service Technician Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment in both shop and field environments
  • Perform startup, installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service documentation
  • Complete service reports and project documentation
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to customers and internal teams
  • Support equipment upgrades, retrofits, and performance improvements
  • Ensure compliance with customer safety requirements and company policies
  • Travel to customer locations as needed to support service operations
  • Other duties as assigned
Field Service Technician Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
  • Working knowledge of industrial equipment and mechanical systems
  • Strong customer service and communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Field Service Technician Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Technical school, military, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing industrial equipment
  • Manufacturing, industrial, energy, oil & gas, or related industry experience preferred
  • Ability to travel as required
