You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as:
1. Knowledge and experience creating, editing, and finalizing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Technical Directives (TDs) for Naval Aviation Weapons Systems supported.
2. Knowledge and experience influencing leadership and program direction through briefs and meetings.
3. Knowledge and experience in supportability analysis pertaining to reliability and maintainability, operational requirements for F-35 aircraft and F135 supported throughout the life-cycle of the item .
4. Knowledge and experience in program support and sustainment activities related to total life-cycle support costs and influence to serve as a team lead and/or senior specialist in directing other logistics personnel in the development of products and sustainment outcomes and supportability plans for F-35 and F135 systems.
5. Knowledge and experience in developing relationships, building consensus, making recommendations, and accomplishing team goals.
6. Knowledge and experience in mentoring and developing personnel with skill gaps and refinement of new tools and processes.
