Job Summary
The Director of MRO Sales leads revenue growth for flyExclusive's Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul business, driving sales of the company's FAA Part 145 services-including airframe maintenance, avionics, paint, interior refurbishment, and AOG/Mobile Service Unit support-to third-party aircraft owners, operators, and management companies. This role owns the full MRO sales cycle: building the customer pipeline, quoting and closing work packages, and partnering closely with MRO operations and production leadership to convert hangar and shop capacity into profitable, on-time business. The Director sets sales strategy, builds and leads the MRO sales team, and represents flyExclusive's MRO brand across the Cessna Citation, Challenger, and broader business-aviation market as the division scales its facilities and footprint.
Key Responsibilities
  • Building solid relationships with customers, vendors, and distributors, as well as sales and marketing teams.
  • Act as the main interface with the customers.
  • Works with the VP of MRO to ensure customer schedules and expectations are met.
  • Execute or assist in preparation and execution of copies of contracts and subcontracts, including exhibits and attachments; ensure all contract and subcontract auxiliary documents, such as insurance certificates and bonds, are provided.
  • Manage change order process, e.g., work with Program Managers and Maintenance Admins to determine the need for change orders; negotiate, draft and secure signatures on change order.
  • Participate in meetings related to contract formation and performance.
  • Participate in marketing conferences and industry events.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities.
  • Directing marketing efforts by presenting market research to MRO directors and suggesting strategies to expand market research.
  • Assessing marketing, sales, supplier and vendor operations and recommending improvements as needed.
  • Preparing all documentation required for requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Researching emerging trends and recommending new company offerings to satisfy customers needs.
  • Developing and managing strategic partnerships to grow businesses.
  • Presenting business or marketing opportunities to company executives and management.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Aviation, Business, Aerospace, or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of proven experience selling aviation-related products or services.
  • Demonstrated customer service, business development, sales, and marketing experience, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment. This includes verification of previous employment, education, criminal history, and any other relevant information necessary to determine the suitability for the position.
