BrassCraft is seeking a strategic, commercially focused Business Development Manager to lead growth across the Home Builder and National Repair & Remodel contractor segments. In this role, you will help shape and execute the long-term growth strategy for these channels, secure new business, expand strategic customer relationships, and position BrassCraft as a preferred partner across the residential construction and remodeling market. You will work closely with builders, remodelers, contractors, wholesale channel partners, and key decision-makers to grow profitable revenue, increase market share, influence product specification, and deliver customer-focused solutions that create long-term value.
What You'll Do
  • Own and execute the national growth strategy for the Home Builder and National Repair & Remodel contractor segments.
  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business with national and regional builders, remodeling companies, and specialty contractors.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans that expand customer penetration, revenue, profitability, and market share.
  • Build relationships with executive leaders and key decision-makers across strategic customer organizations.
  • Drive product specification opportunities and strengthen brand preference throughout the construction and remodeling lifecycle.
  • Lead national agreement, rebate program, promotional, and strategic partnership negotiations.
  • Interpret customer, competitive, channel, and market developments to recommend commercial strategies and business solutions.
  • Collaborate with distributors, manufacturers' representatives, and cross-functional teams to execute growth initiatives.
  • Represent BrassCraft at industry events, builder conferences, contractor meetings, and trade shows.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of sales, business development, national account management, or channel management experience.
  • Experience working with home builders, remodeling contractors, general contractors, or within the residential construction industry.
  • Demonstrated success developing strategic customer relationships and achieving sales and profitability objectives.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, business planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales analytics tools.
  • Ability to work remotely and travel approximately 40-60%.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing national or regional builder accounts.
  • Knowledge of residential construction, plumbing, heating and cooling, building products, or related categories.
  • Familiarity with major home builders, multifamily developers, and remodeling organizations.
  • Experience working through wholesale distribution channels and manufacturers' representative networks.
