Job Description
In-Room Dining Server
This position is for a passionate individual with a strong desire to offer the best in-room dining experience to our guests. Early morning shifts starting at 6am.
What you will be doing:
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Provide the best in-room dining experience while interacting with guests
  • Assist as server in other venues when needed
  • Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way over the phone
  • Shifts include early mornings, weekends, and holidays. May have to work evening shifts periodically.
  • Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
  • Have full knowledge of beverage lists, promotions, menu items, contents, and preparation methods
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages
  • Adhere to payment and cash handling procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
  • Previous experience as server in luxury setting an asset
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Full professional working proficiency in spoken English required, both verbal and non-verbal
  • Computer literacy required for all new and ongoing training programs conducted virtually
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Proven ability to resolve guest concerns
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Previous point of sale system experience an asset
  • Of legal age to serve alcohol
  • Food handler & TABC certifications required
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, and without supervision
  • Ability to multi task and work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to:
  • Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
  • Constant standing and walking
  • Exert physical effort in carrying items (up to 40 pounds)
  • Frequent lifting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents.
