Job description

The Automotive Painter plays a critical role in the finishing process of vehicles, applying high-quality paint to standard passenger, specialty/custom, and commercial vehicles. Working as an individual contributor and independently, this position requires expertise in paint mixing, spray painting, and color matching, utilizing both manual tools and digital software to ensure precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Mix paints accurately to match specified colors
  • Apply paint evenly using manual spray guns and related tools
  • Match and blend colors to achieve consistent finishes
  • Prepare surfaces prior to painting to ensure optimal adhesion
  • Handle and maintain painting materials and equipment properly

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in automotive painting
  • Proficiency in automotive painting techniques and spray gun operation
  • Strong skills in color matching and paint mixing
  • Knowledge of surface preparation methods
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management abilities
