What is Program Planning to Lockheed Martin?
Integral to Lockheed Martin's Program Management & Enterprise Performance, it organizes tasks for mission success, scheduling design, development, and sustainability of products. It breaks down products into tasks, sets sequences & durations, ensuring on-time, in-budget, quality outcomes. Aeronautical program planning is an exciting process that combines creativity, science, and technology to create amazing machines that enable humans to explore and travel in the air and beyond!
Key Duties
The candidate is a self-starter and relationship builder supporting an integrated team to ensure successful program execution and performance, including all aspects of a validated Earned Value Management system. This position has shared responsibility for baseline management and control and assisting in variance analysis.
Responsibilities include the development and maintenance of schedules. Candidate will integrate and assess schedule impacts of proposed work on existing and future plans. Candidate will refine knowledge of Critical Path Methodology and how to apply it in schedule network development and analysis. Position interacts across functional organizations such as engineering, procurement, contracts, business management, and production. This position will be an active participant in the evaluation of planning products and practices and will be instrumental in the remediation activities upon identification of gaps. Partners with Program & Senior Management to drive cost, schedule, and technical performance by facilitating integration across all functions. Responsible for developing compliant Integrated Program Schedules which accurately validate the flow, budget, and resources required to execute contractual scope and overarching program strategy. Provides the program with time-phased critical path predictive analysis and actionable planning data, and develops recommended solutions to programmatic execution conflicts. Ensures all commitments are tracked, monitored and statused. Prepares/coordinates the development of planning artifacts for solicitation response. Interfaces with program management, senior management and the customer as the programs planning integrator. Ensures vertical and horizontal integration, and cost/schedule integration between all schedules and other program artifacts.Devises modeling and measuring techniques to integrate risks and opportunities with schedule and cost baseline, and to perform schedule risk assessments. Utilizes performance and health metrics analyses to drive actions resulting in improved program performance.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications
• Experiences with Earned Value Management (EVM) including Cost / Schedule Integration
• Experience leading cross-functional teams, projects, or programs
• Experience presenting to leadership, customers, or other stakeholders
• Previous experience with Deltek OpenPlan, Primavera, Microsoft Project, or a similar tool
Desired Skills
• Degree in Construction Management, Program Management, Business Administration
• Experience with networked schedules, integrity checks, and critical path methodology
• Experience with Schedule Performance Management Techniques, e.g. Earned Value Management
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities
• Previous experience with Deltek OpenPlan
• Excellent Communication and Organizational skills
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $109700.00 - $203700.00

• Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
